Who we are
Intertranslation is specialised in interpreting and translating of African languages as well as transferring between the cultures and languages.
At the end of 1997 Mrs Theresa Franz, a powerful woman took initiative to make an easier communication between the German and African language. The idea of Intertranslation was born and the first office was opened in Dortmund, Germany.
Intertranslation GbR found out quickly that language barrier leads mainly to bad communication – without the possibility of understanding each other there is no chance for communication.
The communication between the African people living in Germany, Austria and Switzerland was not easy in regards to the language. Therefore it was important to found a service office, which helps especially in such situations.
One of the main aim is to translate and interpret for the authorities.
We also support African inhabitants with there daily needs, e. g. dealings with authorities such as registry offices, paternity amongst others.
Another point is to support and accompany business people, members of the government and non-governmental organisations travelling to and in Africa. Intertranslation helps by translating and interpreting as well as communicating between the cultures.
We also teach in different African languages. This helps to answer questions about the language and understand the meaning of words and language analysis.
The company has a network all over Europe for high qualified translators and interpreters, together with more than 100 free employees. All Origins of Africa who knows the typical cultural specialities of the African continent.
The branches in Dortmund, Hamburg make it possible to integrate the big areas, such as Rhein/Ruhr, Lower Saxony/Schleswig-Holstein efficiently.
